The Apostolic Christian Home for the Handicapped has been blessed over the years with wonderful volunteers who have certainly exemplified the words above. Volunteers bring a life and exuberance to our residents and staff that is only too visible by the smiles on their faces and joy in the hearts. If you or someone you love has a heart to volunteer in any of the following ways, or may possess a talent we have not listed, we invite you to contact us and let us know.

Maintenance Volunteers
Weekdays and weekends 8:00am-5:00pm
Timber Ridge, Oakwood Estate, Linden Estate, & CILAs
Help with maintaining landscaping, lawns, vehicles, equipment and buildings.

Homemakers
Weekdays and weekends 9:00am- 5:00pm
Oakwood Estate, Linden Estate, & CILAs (Sewing can be done in your own home.)
Homemaker volunteers help with general cleaning duties, cooking, and laundry. At times we have clothing that needs mending or adapting.

Office Volunteers
Weekdays 9:00am-5:00pm
Timber Ridge
Help by answering phones, preparing mailings, or simple filing.

Activity Volunteers
Weekdays 3:00pm-8:00pm & weekends 9:00am-8:00pm
Timber Ridge, Oakwood Estate, Linden Estate, CILAs
Friendly activity volunteers help by spending time interacting with residents, assisting with group activities, or providing entertainment.

Helping Hands Volunteers
Weekdays & weekends 6:30am- 12:30pm, 2:30pm-8:00pm
Timber Ridge
Help provide direct support to residents by assisting in taking them to appointments, serve refreshments or meals, and pushing individuals in wheelchairs throughout the building.
